PWC: 120km Task mit Seequerungen
Martin Scheel,
10. May 2024
1 28 Julien Wirtz M FRA Ozone Enzo 3/Ozone Submarine 988.8 2 477 Christian Maurer M CHE Ozone Enzo 3/Advance Impress 4 963.0 3 1111 Antoine Dubois-Mercé M FRA Ozone Enzo 3/Ozone Submarine 961.2 4 1 Justin Puthod M FRA Niviuk Icepeak X-One/Ozone Submarine 959.0 5 1761 Steve Cox M CHE Ozone Enzo 3/Ozone Submarine 948.8 6 44 Stephan Morgenthaler M CHE Ozone Enzo 3/Ozone Submarine 936.8 7 225 Flavio Funiati M FRA Niviuk Icepeak X-One/Ozone Submarine 936.0 8 4 Maxime Pinot M FRA Ozone Enzo 3/Ozone Submarine 917.7 9 10 Philipp Haag M DEU Ozone Enzo 3/Ozone Submarine 917 28 64 Violeta Jimenez F USA Ozone Enzo 3/Ozone Submarine 873.1 32 61 Jenny O'Neil F USA Ozone Enzo 3/Ozone Submarine 857.2 98 22 Mathilde Chivet F FRA Ozone Zeno 2/Kortel Design Kanibal Race 2 AIRDESIGN 214.3

While the air above around 3000 metres is dry and stably stratified under subsidence, there is still enough moisture in the unstable base layer to trigger cumulus clouds. (Gliding weather report) 1-3/8 base at 3000-3200 m. Normal valley wind system (Interlaken 15-20, Frutigen 25-30 kmh) 2000 10-15 WNW 3000 5-15 WSW 4000 15 N Above 3000 sinking inversion

PWC: 65km in Rekordzeit, 98% aller Pilot:innen im Ziel
Martin Scheel,
9. May 2024
Gewonnen hat Arthur Moindrot, ein junger Franzose, bester Schweizer Roger Aeschbacher 1 60 Arthur Moindrot M FRA Ozone Enzo 3/Ozone Submarine 1000.0 2 6 Juan Ospina M GBR Ozone Enzo 3/Ozone Submarine 994.4 3 11 Xavier Laporte M FRA Niviuk Icepeak X-One/Ozone Submarine 972.7 4 311 Daniel Tyrkas M DEU Ozone Enzo 3/Ozone Submarine 970.7 5 4 Maxime Pinot M FRA Ozone Enzo 3/Ozone Submarine 948.4 6 2 Baptiste Lambert M FRA Ozone Enzo 3/Ozone Submarine 945.5 6 7474 Dawid Król M POL Niviuk Icepeak X-One/Ozone Submarine 945.5 8 211 Michel Cervellin M FRA Ozone Enzo 3/Ozone Submarine 944.8 9 10 Philipp Haag M DEU Ozone Enzo 3/Ozone Submarine 943.4 9 118 Roger Aeschbacher M CHE Ozone Enzo 3/Ozone Submarine 943.4 18 696 Celine Lorenz F DEU Niviuk Icepeak X-One/Niviuk Drifter 2 NIVIUK 937.1 19 64 Violeta Jimenez F USA Ozone Enzo 3/Ozone Submarine 936.3 50 41 Alexia Fischer F USA Ozone Enzo 3/Ozone Submarine Bozeman Paragliding, Your Name Here 891.5

PWC: Meteo and Infos Thursday
Martin Scheel,
9. May 2024
9:35 (2 busses), 10:05, (10:35): Public Busses at Interlaken West to Beatenberg Waldegg. 11:15: Briefing at Hohwald-Parking Earliest possible start 12:30, Airstart 14:00 About the decision, not to go to Grindelwald: After a lot of research, we came to the conclusion that there is a 20% chance that we won't be able to take off in Grindelwald due to downwinds. This seems too high to me. Meteo ******** The Alpine region lies between an area of high pressure centred over the North Sea and an area of low pressure over the central Mediterranean region in a Bise current. With the increasing influence of high pressure, the air mass will dry out during the course of the day. On the northern side of the Alps, widespread high fog with a base of 1200-1600 metres and an upper limit around 2500 dropping to 2000. In the Alps mostly clear, but in the large Alpine valleys initially partly 4-6/8 with a base of 1500-2000 m, in the afternoon 3-5/8 flat Cu or Sc 1800-2300 m. (Gliding weather report) Interlaken in the afternoon: 2-4/8 at 1800 Moderate thermals Wind Ground: valley wind from the west, 10-20? kmh 1000m 10-15 kmh W (depends on the terrain) 1500m 5-10kmh N 2000m 10kmh NE 3000m 10kmh NE

Martin Scheel,
8. May 2024
